The Do List: San Francisco Fashion Events July 5-10

Good golly, sneaky-fast summer, how did it get to be July? Probably something to do with all the stylish adventures afoot. You’ll find this week’s top San Francisco fashion events on the SF Indie Fashion Calendar, and we’ve called out a few favorites below.

  • A reason to venture to the Inner Sunset arrives on Saturday, when SET Boutique brings its summer collection to Urban Bazaar’s garden for a Fair Trade Fashion Garden Party. You’ll find summer looks on display during the 1:30 p.m. fashion show from ethical labels such as Mata Traders and Alternative Apparel, as well as light food and drinks.
  • We’re always excited at the return of the massive Renegade Craft Fair, which takes over Fort Mason this weekend. With over 200 artists touting innovative crafts, fashion and handmade accessories, the event is a browser’s dreamland. Workshops, booze, food and a free photo booth only make it better.
  • Should you fancy a drive north, the charming town of Petaluma beckons with a grand opening party for the new boutique from designer Robindira Unsworth, whose bohemian-gone-glam baubles are found in stores such as Anthropologie and Neiman Marcus.

You can find details on all of these events and more happening this week on the SF Indie Fashion Calendar.

In Pane Sight: Urban Bazaar

Urban Bazaar, 1371 9th Ave., San Francisco

In the window at Urban Bazaar: Everything from children’s shoes to recycled guitar picks live in this Inner Sunset shop on 9th Avenue between Irving and Judah. Featuring local and handmade clothing and home decor items, you can jump off the N line on the way to Ocean Beach and pick up something snazzy–a set of, “don’t be an idiot, idiot,” note cards, perhaps?
