Don’t Miss: Tedda Hughes Opening Party

We’ll have more for you soon on this fab new boutique (it opened yesterday) from local artist and designer Tedda Hughes, but in the meantime, we recommend putting this party on your list for Saturday night. Last weekend, we got a sneak preview of the store and its enviable inventory of finds from such independent designers as Helena de Natalio, She-Bible and Atsuko Kudo – and we have no doubt that this will fast become one of the go-to spots on our list….stay tuned for more.

She-Bible Sale Starts Today

As faithful readers of SF Indie Fashion well know, we are big fans of the cozy, go-anywhere wearables from local label She-Bible. We’ve picked up several pieces from the design duo over the last few years. And it looks like this week might very well be our chance to expand our collection, thanks to a three-day online sale starting today.

Along with a bunch of items from past collections that have been reduced and added to the online shop’s sale section, She-Bible is offering 25 percent off purchases through Thursday night with the code snuggie at checkout. Also, shipping is free on orders over $100.

Stay tuned for new items from the forthcoming spring collection, due out soon….

3 Things To Put On Right Now

Good things come in threes, right? Or was it bad things? Well, after getting called for jury duty, smashing my iPhone to smithereens and missing an important meeting all in one day (okay, I admit it could be worse, but still), I need some good things in a set of three to balance out the messed-upness of yesterday.

Here are three things I’m currently cooing over:

1. She-Bible Marianne Jumpsuit. I don’t know why, but just looking at this piece makes me giddy. I mean, to think I could just step in and go. Just like that. Like I was on-the-go Barbie or something. Amazing.

2. Twin-Syndrome High-Rish Panties. I learned about these beauties on the Bay Area Style File blog earlier this week, and I’ve been smitten from the start. Before you groan and think “granny pants alert!” consider this: in today’s world of low-rise jeans and the all-too-frequent accidental crack bombs that go with them, maybe we could all do with a new tactic. Instead of tucking the tanktops and t-shirts in, why not have the undies go up, like way up. Like so high up that they aren’t even granny anymore, but suddenly almost sexy in a 60′s siren sorta way.

3. Iro 2-Way Blouse. On sale for a crazy-low $35 at Acrimony, this versatile top can be worn as shown or flipped the other way to create an off-the-shoulder boatneck. We’ll take two shirts in one anyday. Lovely.
