It’s officially mid-March, and we’re finally daring to dream of spring. That means easy-going dresses, simple accessories, bright bags and go-everywhere shoes with lighter sensibilities than our winter-staple boots.

Here are local sources for each.

From top: Maggie dress, She-Bible; one-off Mason yellow clutch, ReMade USA; David Clarkson Point Reyes Hoops, available at Gravel and Gold; buckle strap heels by f-troupe, available at Candystore Collective.

SF Indie Fashion News Roundup

Yes, if it seems like we just featured a news roundup, that’s because we did. But we’ve got more news. So here’s another one comin’ atcha….

Jobbie job alert: Mitch got in touch from Theory to say he’s looking for a fashion-savvy sales associate for the Maiden Lane store. It could be full or part time, depending. If you’re interested in a retail gig with the store, contact him at mitchs (at) theory (dot) com.

Jobbie job alert part deux: GAMA-GO is also hiring. We imagine it would be tres fun to work for this cool SoMa company.

Ugh. And another one bites the dust. Bernal Heights eco boutique Ladita is, we’re sad to say, closing its doors in two weeks. Until then, take 40 to 70 percent off everything in the store as it liquidates merch, fixtures and even its mannequins.

Harputs Market is getting its discount on, too. Anything from a previous season – i.e. not spring/summer ’09 – is on sale for $100-$150. That means Ann Sofie Back, Junya Watanabe, Comme Des Garcons for prices you’ll rarely see outside of a serious sale.

Feeling sew-sew? Check out the latest and greatest issue of Modern Seamster magazine for free. It’s the second offering from this San Francisco-based publication.

Thursday night is gettin’ packed. Covet Boutique celebrates its grand opening with a party, Divisadero gets down with the Divisadero Arts Walk and Shotwell is having a sample sale featuring the revamped vintage creations of Taxi CDC. Find all the details on the SF Indie Fashion Calendar.

y & i is having its twice-yearly clearance sale this week. Through June 7, head to the Marina boutique for 30 to 70 percent off merch.

Need supplies for D.I.Y. projects, cheap art materials, furnishings, etc.? Try the Palo Alto Citywide Yard Sale this Saturday.

CC Rider is putting its space up for rent (don’t worry, they’re just moving up the street to a smaller location). If you’re interested in moving into this space, send an email to RENTME (at) CCRIDERSF (dot) COM.

Funky & Fabulous is offering 15 percent off all jewelry through June 20 when you enter Summer09 at checkout.

She-Bible has lots of new dresses for summer up in the online store.

TGIF, folks. Here’s some stylish stuff to distract you from your duties and pepper your weekend with independent fashion fun…

- Woah nelly, there are oodles of great events going down this weekend in the Bay Area. In the fashion-related realm, there’s the Bazaar Bizarre at Maker Faire in San Mateo, the Union Design Festival (formerly Capsule) in Hayes Valley on Sunday and, we’re happy to report, Funk ‘N Trunk is back this weekend after a hiatus. Visit the SF Indie Fashion Calendar for all the details.

- 1767 Church St., the sister shop to Lower Haight boutique doe, closes on Saturday. Stop by by end-of-day tomorrow for up to 75 percent off the shop’s merch. In July, we hear the shop will become Curator, a new venture from She-Bible.

- Speaking of Church Street, merchants up and down it and 24th Street will be showing off their wares and offering tons of sales this weekend as part of the 2nd Annual Noe Valley Sidewalk Sale.

- Pacific Heights trio of Heidi Says shops will be having a trio of trunk shows tomorrow. Stop by any of the three locations for 20 percent off collections by Gorjana, Kathy Kamei and Gypsy 05.

- Craziness at Artificial Flavor: Guys’ jackets that once went for $200+ are now $20 a piece. Sale ends tomorrow.

- Head to Fort Mason this weekend to get in on two huge sales. Both The Warehouse Sale for premium denim and the Gear Up ‘N Go Season 4 Sale for fitness apparel take place there this weekend.

- Daily Candy reports a Mike & Chris blowout sale happening tomorrow in San Francisco. We are most intrigued.

- We had a great time viewing the latest collection from Zoe Bikini last night at the Bella Forever show. Stay tuned for a video and some pics from that event to appear here soon.

- Fans of BRAVO’s The Fashion Show: You can meet designer Andrew Christian this weekend and see a fashion show of his men’s underwear collection during his upcoming San Francisco appearances.
