SF Fashion Events: Father’s Day Trunk Show, Fashion Shows + More

With longer days and a summer vibe in the air (even if the weather isn’t exactly playing along), it’s as good a time as ever to get out and explore the City’s style scene. This week, there’s much to look forward to. Those with a haute streak will head to the Carrots Summer/Pre-Fall Collection Tour, while fans of live fashion can catch local designers on the runway during the Fashion on the Run benefit at Project One and the Freedom Fashion Show. If you’re feeling a nice solid trunk show outing, take in the vintage baubles of Sasha Maks during a trunk show on Thursday night in honor of The Factory’s new Dior-inspired collection, head to Cavallo Point on Saturday for an event featuring Colleen Mauer jewelry and get a head start on procuring that special gift for dear old dad during the Loft1513 Father’s Day Gift Buying Open House on Sunday.

And of course, as you know, it doesn’t stop there. We’re adding new fashion happenings all the time. Find details on these and other upcoming San Francisco fashion events waiting on the SF Indie Fashion Calendar.

The Do List: SF Fashion Events Jan. 30-Feb. 5

Three things I generally can’t get enough of: retro-inspired fashion, deals on local designers and getting seriously geeky about blogging. Good thing there’s a little of each one on the horizon this week. The 2nd annual Lesley Evers Studio Sample Sale in Berkeley means a chance to save up to 80 percent on the designer’s v. cute printed dresses, skirts and tops. In San Francisco, I’ll be speaking at Thursday’s FIDM fashion blogging event with Fashionista Lab, Calivintage, FashionablyAshley and iFabbo. Last but not least, Friday’s Girl Power Hour brings a chance to network and unwind at the same time.

See you out and about!

Snow, A White Fashion Event is back with its annual show featuring all-white collections from local designers and an audience clad in outfits to match. Also on the horizon this week: another Do-It-Yourself Marketing event at TechShop San Francisco put on by jewelry designer Shana Astrachan and Genevieve Robertson of Lightbox SF, a men’s vintage fashion show in the Mission, the return of Geek Style Lounge and the kickoff of the Treasure Island Flea winter pop-up.
