The Mission Sidewalk Sale goes down this weekend, thanks to some organizational masterminding from Candystore Collective and its cadre of equally as rockin’ neighbors. Cruise through the ‘hood for cheery deals on lovely things from locally-owned, indie-friendly shops and boutiques like BellJar, Artist-Xchange, Sunhee Moon, Idol Vintage, Five and Diamond, Therapy, Monument and Weston Wear.
Cara of the San Francisco’s LF store location (1870 Union St) got in touch yesterday with news of the Cow Hollow shop’s semi-annual sale. As of 10 a.m. this very morning, everything in the store is 60 percent off. Over here, we get very excited when things are more than half-off. It makes us want to buy stuff. Well, we pretty much always want to buy stuff (or make stuff) (or just see and play with cool stuff). But still. Makes us want to do some pre-weekend wardrobe triage.
We took a few days off to max and relax outside of Boulder, Colorado, a place that could easily make one question whether Jerry actually died back in 1995. But now we’ve returned. In other news…. – As you’ve probably heard, Stitch Lounge is closing next month. It’s bittersweet news for the local indie fashion and crafty communities. While we know all good things must come to an end, we were still saddened to know this hub for sewing and creating is shutting its doors in favor of an online-only existence.
