Runway Recap: Kearny Street Workshop Fashion Show 2012

One of the most recent fashion shows to hit San Francisco: the KSW Runway 2012 Fashion Show, the annual show from the Kearny Street Workshop, the nation’s oldest Asian-Pacific American multidisciplinary arts organization. Featuring new designs by Asian-Pacific American designers, the runway that evening saw everything from typography-inspired evening gowns to body chains.

See a few of our favorite looks below and check out the entire album on the SF Indie Fashion Facebook page.

Front Row at Roe for WDesigns

Last Friday, Wayne Hwang let an invite-only crowd take a peek at his WDesigns label’s new looks for spring. Dubbed Venus, the collection channeled the vibe of a futuristic goddess done up in form-fitting frocks and not at all afraid to shimmer.

From our seat in the front row, the show was a joy to watch and well-organized from the moment we arrived. Our favorite runway moment: the Obsequens cocktail dress in blue, a short, one-shoulder number ready for the dance floor.
