Snap Judgment: Pladra Peregrine Flannel Shirt

Our very-visual, (almost) chatter-free snap judgment of the day: the Peregrine shirt in redwood brown, $89, made of 100 percent cotton flannel by new San Francisco label Pladra, whose easygoing button downs convey a Tahoe-loving kind of NorCal cool with contrasting prints of snowy outdoor scenes inside the cuffs and collar.

Bee Season: Why I love Rebecca Beeson’s Circle Scarf

While visiting  the lovely Rebecca Beeson at her sunny SOMA studio a few weeks ago, I discovered her latest and most adorable creation; the circle scarf. Made out of excess fabrics usually donated or scrapped, these scarves are both colorful and super soft. I just want to curl up in mine all the time, especially with my new boyfriend next to me. Ok I’m sorry I’ll shut up about him, but he  makes me feel pretty even all wrapped up in a light green scarf and yoga clothes. It could be he who makes me feel pretty or maybe it’s the scarf.  To get your own, visit Rebecca Beeson online and send her an email. Did I mention they come in a myriad of colors? Weeeeeee!

Thank you Doug for taking this photo, and more importantly for always believing in me.

San Francisco-based label N.I.C.E. Collective never fails to intrigue, whether it’s launching jacket hunts via their web site, Facebook and Twitter or garnering buzz with much-talked-about projects like last fall’s The Gathering, a short film featuring N.I.C.E. Collective-clad models and artists “painted” by trippy, dazzling digital images during a nighttime shoot in the woods. And for mainstream fashion fans, there’s always the fact that RobPat donned one of the label’s jackets on the cover of Entertainment Weekly late last year.

But even without all that, we’d still be itching for Sunday, when a sample sale featuring current and past season wearables for men and women at 20 to 80 percent off takes place in our fair city. Wanna go? Hit the ATM (it’s a cash-only event) and head to 630 Treat @19th between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m.
