Come the weekend, to the FIDM campus for the Style, Trends & Blog Talk panel featuring designer Nick Verreos in conversation with San Francisco bloggers Jeanne Chan of Shop Sweet Things, Beth Spotswood and Lorraine Sanders, founder of SF Indie Fashion and the very new Digital Style Digest. Other chances for fashion fun can be had with the Downtown Guidi Shoe Event, Conifer & Sarah Tejada Launch Party, Spring Lips, Brows, Braids & Bubbly at Harper Paige salon and the massive Swap-O-Rama at the Exploratorium.

We’re adding new fashion happenings all the time. Find details on these and other upcoming San Francisco fashion events waiting on the SF Indie Fashion Calendar.

The Do List: SF Fashion Events Jan. 30-Feb. 5

Three things I generally can’t get enough of: retro-inspired fashion, deals on local designers and getting seriously geeky about blogging. Good thing there’s a little of each one on the horizon this week. The 2nd annual Lesley Evers Studio Sample Sale in Berkeley means a chance to save up to 80 percent on the designer’s v. cute printed dresses, skirts and tops. In San Francisco, I’ll be speaking at Thursday’s FIDM fashion blogging event with Fashionista Lab, Calivintage, FashionablyAshley and iFabbo. Last but not least, Friday’s Girl Power Hour brings a chance to network and unwind at the same time.

See you out and about!

You can find details on all of these events and more happening this week on the SF Indie Fashion Calendar.

Spotted (SF Street Style): Eclectic Blue

Spotted: San Francisco blogger Punam, at the Space Gallery’s City Dolls trunk show, scoring some sweet jewelry at the Polk Street sale while donning a cream turtleneck, blue vintage sweater with cutouts and sequin detailing, black motorcycle inspired lace-front boots and chunky statement bracelets for the finishing touch.

How does this local style blogger (who writes at Nothing Broken) describe her personal style?

“Lots of vintage. Sometimes I’m dressed like a drag queen, sometimes I’m dressed like a prep, and other times I’m dressed like MC Hammer,” she tells us.

Her favorite places to shop in the city? A girl after our own hearts, she loves to peruse a combo of Goodwill, trade shows, pop-up shops, clothing-by-the-pound and anywhere that doesn’t have an official cash register.

The Do List: San Francisco Fashion Events Oct. 24-30

Among the stylish San Francisco events to look forward to this week are a fundraiser fashion show featuring condom couture, a fashion blogger-writer meetup, live window fashion and an international student fashion symposium and competition. Intrigued? You’ll find the details on the SF Indie Fashion Calendar.

  • Get the week going with fashion for a good cause courtesy of the annual Evening of Hope – A Night of Lifesaving Fashion, benefiting Project Inform’s programs and initiatives supporting people living with HIV/AIDS. Real Housewives’ Countess LuAnn de Lesseps will make a special appearance at the fundraiser, which is capped off with a condom couture fashion show featuring gowns constructed using prophylactics.
  • On Thursday, you’ll be sure to find an impressive number of San Francisco fashion bloggers and writers descending upon Swig for the Blogger-Writer Meetup hosted by Lindsay Stevens and Caitlin Flemming of Sacramento Street.
  • Also on Thursday, local designer Larissa Verdussen will be showing her latest work for her label Rag Doll Designs during a live window presentation at her eco-minded Noe Valley boutique Loft 1513.
  • Taking place this weekend, the annual Arts of Fashion Symposium & Competition showcases emerging design talent during a two-day event held at the San Francisco Art Institute. In addition to the competition itself, which features work by 60 students from around the world, program highlights include free lectures and exhibits with industry leaders such as CFDA CEO Steven Kolb and culminates in a runway show competition (tickets, $50 and up).
