Resin roses meet chunky gold chain in the neckpieces and brooches of Sydney-based and Tokyo-influenced design duo Make Believe, whose work we hear is now exclusively available in the good ‘ole US of A at Russian Hill boutique Tedda Hughes.

At upwards of $250 a pop, these adornments aren’t cheap, but their intricate construction and 80′s rapper-meets-Harajuku Lolita ethos make us stop and stare – in a good way.

No shrinking violets here.

Another place you’ll find nary a shrinking violet? At Tedda Hughes on Friday, where a Black Friday sale and happy hour begins unraveling itself circa noon-o-clock.

Won’t you join?

Resin Ring Bling: Colors by Liza

These inexpensive adjustable disc rings from Colors by Liza caught our eye at last week’s Fashion Feud event (in case you haven’t heard, we’re suckers for sparkly objects). An artist based in San Francisco, Liza uses different-textured resins and mixed media on the cheerfully-hued business card compacts, pill boxes, clutch purses, iPod armor and cigarette cases she creates in her SoMa studio.

The overall effect is unabashedly crafty, yes, but also girlishly cute and gift-able for a variety of ages.
