Along with invite-only events celebrating Mulberry and Refinery29 that we’re sure many of you will be headed to, this week promises style fun for everyone with an ArtPoint panel chat inspired by The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier exhibition featuring Poetic & Chic’s Annie Wilson and designer Bacca da Silva, the latest installment of the art-and-fashion extravaganza that is RAW SF, a trunk show with Herringbone bags at Harper Paige salon and the 5th Stitch Launch Party. Also this week, the Gallery of Jewels continues its 10-day bridal engagement event, showcasing aisle-ready jewelry by independent artists and designers.

Find details on these and other upcoming San Francisco fashion events waiting on the SF Indie Fashion Calendar. And of course, as you know, it doesn’t stop there. We’re adding new fashion happenings all the time, so check back often.

The Economics of Art looks to be an excellent event for lovers and supporters of local independent fashion. It’s a great speaker line-up featuring prominent folks from the world of Bay Area fashion design and people with a variety of experiences in making fashion careers – and art – work as viable sources of income through retail, writing and publishing books, teaching and professional organizations.

There’s also a fashion show associated with the event that features student designers from San Francisco State and the Academy of Art. And last but not least, proceeds benefit the future San Francisco Fashion Awards.
