Party Seen: Pose App Party at Heart

Invites to join Pose dispersed on tables

Fashion and tech joined forces last week at Heart wine bar in the Mission to celebrate the success of hot new photo sharing app Pose, a platform available on iPhone and Android that allows style mavens to discover, snap and share photos with members of their style community, a group they cheekily dub “posers.”

Alisa Gould-Simon, director of marketing and communications at Pose, explains to a guest how Pose encourages fellow "posers" to snap and share styles that inspire them.

Seated family style around long reclaimed wood tables, fashion bloggers, writers, and techno-nistas enjoyed an array of wines poured into repurposed jam jars, mini sandwiches and crudite as they discussed how they use Pose to connect with fellow style-crazed friends, shared their favorite poses and, of course, caught on recent gossip in the fashion and tech landscape.

We briefly caught up with Pose Director of Marketing and Communications Alisa Gould-Simon to chat about how the fashion discovery and social networking app is quickly getting noticed in both the fashion and tech communities and how its user base continues to grow.

“Not only is Pose available at your fingertips, but is has some cache backing it too. At Pose we have a group of power users and posers that we are really impressed with, such as fashion blogger Leandra of Man Repeller, Levi’s and DKNY,” Gould-Simon tells us.

The app is free to download, available in multiple languages and available on iPhone, iPad and iPod devices, as well as Android devices.
