Runway Recap: Kearny Street Workshop Fashion Show 2012

One of the most recent fashion shows to hit San Francisco: the KSW Runway 2012 Fashion Show, the annual show from the Kearny Street Workshop, the nation’s oldest Asian-Pacific American multidisciplinary arts organization. Featuring new designs by Asian-Pacific American designers, the runway that evening saw everything from typography-inspired evening gowns to body chains.

See a few of our favorite looks below and check out the entire album on the SF Indie Fashion Facebook page.

SF Fashion Events: FNO SF, 31 Rax Vintage Clothing Workshop + More

And just like that, we’re jumping with two feet right into fall. As we’re sure you’re well aware, New York Fashion Week kicks off on Friday, and that means a slew of Fashion’s Night Out events happening around town on Thursday – and a solid number feature local boutiques and independent designers. We’re also super-enthused about a 31 Rax Vintage Clothing Workshop on shopping, styling and caring for vintage clothing that’s part of the three-day Skill Exchange Workshop Series taking place this weekend. Also ahead and worthy of a look-see are the Kearny Street Workshop Runway Fashion Show, Indie Mart and – midweek – a beauty event for the curly-haired at Festoon Salon.

Find details on these and other upcoming San Francisco fashion events waiting on the SF Indie Fashion Calendar. And of course, as you know, it doesn’t stop there. We’re adding new fashion happenings all the time, so check back often.
