Get Custom T’d in North Beach

indie-industries_too-sexy-back

On Friday from 6-10 p.m., pop into North Beach shop Indie Industries for some art and custom t-shirt madness from local artists Jordan Bogash and Erlin Geffrard.

While you’re there, kiss the Friday workday goodbye with loudass music, stuff to ingest and a D.I.Y. toy scavenger hunt as added distraction.

And just to sweeten the experience all the more, every second item you buy is 50 percent off during the event.

Looking to spice up your style without overpowering your wallet? Then we’d suggest making a dash for Saffron Rare Threads and checking out a sale five years in the making. October 15th marks the fifth anniversary of this San Francisco clothing line’s debut, and to celebrate, the bulk of Saffron Rare Threads’ easy-going apparel for women is on sale.

What’s more, both the label’s online shop (use discount code weare5) and the design collective boutique Studio 3579 – where designer Priya Saraswati shares space with designers Joy Opfer of Joy O Designs and Mike Stone of Indie Industries – are offering an additional 50 percent off your second Saffron Rare Threads purchase. And here’s an added kick: the sale runs now through November 1st.

Stop by 499 Dolores Street (at 18th St.) and see for yourself.

Fun One: Indie Industries 1 Year Party

we-are-one-back_indie-industries

Tomorrow night, may we gently suggest that you consider hitting the beach. And when we say beach, we mean North Beach. The location? Indie Industries. The why? Because the cozy milk carton of a space is celebrating one year in The City, as well as a new art show featuring the work of Matt Atkins, Jason Raish and the guys of Hella More Funner (creators of the raddest – not to mention only – sleeping bag art we’ve ever seen).

Show up on the early side, and you might be lucky enough to scoop up one of the swag bags designated for the party’s first 25 guests. Whatever time you arrive, you’ll be gifted with sangria, a $10 rack and a buy-one, get-the-second-for-50-percent-off sale on everything in the store. Gift cards for $50 will be handed out randomly throughout the evening, and anyone who RSVPs in advance via Going will receive a $10 gift coupon emailed after the show.
