SF Fashion Events: Fashion Week, Studio64, Andrea Linett at Mira Mira + More

San Francisco Fashion Week is here (yes, we have one. No, it is not like the one in New York). A hybrid business networking opp for locals in the industry and people-pleaser with fashion shows featuring Bay Area designers and labels, the week-long series of events includes panels, parties and runway shows, as well as an evening expo focused on fashion and technology. Fashion and tech is also the theme of this week’s Studio64 event at Temple, while Bay Area Fashion Week (yup, another, unrelated one) continues and a book signing featuring Michael Kors Creative Director Andrea Linett promises to draw local fashion fans out to Mission boutique Mira Mira.

Shopping from local, indie designers is easy this week, thanks to a trio of events offering up Bay Area-made apparel, accessories, art and more in swingin’ settings. Kick off your adventures at Thursday’s Bazaar Bizarre at the Academy of Sciences nightlife event. On Saturday, sidle up to style poolside at the Phoenix during Haute Pool Show, an indie shopping-meets-pool party event hosted by Mission shop Wonderland. Then on Sunday, join the crowds celebrating Indie Mart‘s 5th year in Potrero flats with the latest installment of Kelly Malone’s long-running outdoor street fest. And don’t forget Digitally Chic‘s August meetup on Thursday evening for a dose of fashion, technology and stylish socializing.

Then Renegade Craft Fair arrives for its two-day engagement over the weekend. For fashion and tech fans, Thursday night beckons with the latest events from Fashion Tech SF and Digitally Chic. We’re also intrigued by the Wild Feather Cocktail Party, a preview for a soon-to-open Haight Street shop focused on apparel, accessories and art by local creatives.
