The Do List: San Francisco Fashion Events Feb. 7-13

Fashion Week may be kicking off in New York, but you can still play stylishly on the Left Coast. The SF Indie Fashion Calendar is always full of events to keep San Francisco fashion lovers busy with trunk sales, beauty happenings, fashion shows and places to shop from independent sources. Here’s our pick of top San Francisco fashion events this week:

  • Tuesday brings the second showdown of this year’s Fashion Feud. Head to Rickshaw Stop to watch designers Krisztina Lazar and Chrystine Druge battle it out for fashion dominance. Judges Adelle McElveen and Laura Robblee will decide their fate. Added perks: this is a free, 18+ event.
  • One of our favorite events this week takes place online, thanks to the livestream of the Evolving Influence fashion blogger conference that will be taking place on Thursday in New York. Hop onto the Internets to catch the action if you can’t make it x-country for the real thing.
  • Also on Thursday, you can prep for romance on the horizon or indulge in a little self-love at Stillpoint Wellness Center, where a Be Your Own Valentine event promises complimentary 15-minute mini services, Champagne and sweets to those who RSVP. Check the calendar for the details on how to attend.
  • Once the weekend hits, continue celebrating local fashion with a stop by RAG’s Expansion Celebration Party on Friday evening to glimpse the Hayes Valley shop’s new space or head to The Public Works for the Archetype Runway and Trunk Show, where you’ll find apparel and accessories on view from Behida Dolic, Jasmin Zorlu, Danielle Pettee, Kittinhawk, Ric Rac Clothing, Alley Collection and others.

You can find details on all of these events and more happening this week on the SF Indie Fashion Calendar.

Where I’d Like to Be Sept. 9: Evolving Influence 2010

If I were not having a baby, oh, any day now, here’s where I’d be come Sept. 9: Evolving Influence 2010, the blogger conference from Independent Fashion Bloggers. Coinciding with New York Fashion Week, the day-long conference is really a fashion blogger’s dream date with some of the most interesting and influential names, companies and bloggers in the space today. Plus, it’s only $60 – very affordable for a day of smashing networking and information from some really cool voices in the fashion space, among them folks from Blog Lovin’, Lookbook.nu, Style Bubble and New York magazine’s The Cut.

I watched much of last year’s conference online (it was live-streamed), and I’d highly recommend doing that if they offer it again this year and you are also one of the local fashion folks who, like me, will not be in New York this year during the Fashion Week mayhem.
