Fashion fans in San Francisco will find a diverse style spread ahead this week. A sustainable design meeting of the minds, a new pop-up shop, paintings of dresses and an outdoor shopping event featuring tons of local designers are all on the horizon. Intrigued? You’ll find the details on the SF Indie Fashion Calendar.
- Get the week going with a special event from The Commonwealth Club’s Inforum and Levi’s. In 6 Minutes, 40 Seconds: How to Design a Sustainable Future dives into one of the biggest design-driven questions of our time with a lightening-fast pecha kucha presentation featuring Rickshaw Bagworks CEO Mark Dwight and Flora Grubb of Flora Grubb Gardens, among others. Networking and ping pong follow.
- On Wednesday, Carrots debuts its a’bout Shop in Shop featuring the Jackson Square store’s new capsule collection designed in conjunction with Dean Hutchinson (whose Mi Concept line we once spent quite a bit of time salivating over).
- Thursday night brings a sweet little soiree at Marmalade. Head to Hope’s Cow Hollow shop for Cocktails, Big Sales and Fashionable Art featuring artist Megan Martin’s dress paintings, as well as drinks and discounts.
- Finish off the week by shopping independent at the year’s last outdoor Indie Mart, where you’ll find over 100 independent designers selling their work. Other perks: it’s outside, there’s a BBQ, lots of beer and more than solid people watching.
You can find details on all of these events and more happening this week on the SF Indie Fashion Calendar.
