At last week’s Spring into Fall runway show at the Bently Reserve, darkly elegant apparel dominated the long, raised runway. While the apparel shown was nothing if not diverse, a steampunk aesthetic in pieces from several designers created a common thread.
At the same time, the intricately-wrought and notably complex construction of the garments by Sequoia & Gita, Gelareh Alam, Dark Garden Unique Corsetry, Sara Shepherd and Rebecca Bruce and headpieces from Miss G Designs and Dollymop was another defining characteristic of the evening’s best pieces. Jewelry by Amber Marie Bently and shoes by Kailia appeared throughout the show.
Below, shots from the fashion show, which impressed not only with fashion, but also with its overall opulence: a raised runway and a large screen projecting garments live during the event added to the appeal.
