When the San Francisco Fashion Week Ready to Wear fashion show began, the prevailing vibe in the room for the second runway presentation in a week-long series of events celebrating local fashion was relaxed yet refined. Along with the fun of Columbus Day sales from many local shops, the week ahead brings an assortment of trunk shows and shopping opps closely aligned with the indie fashion ethos. The lion’s share take place on Friday evening, when you’ll find the Calivintage Pop-Up at Pretty Penny in Oakland, as well as a fashion-filled birthday fete for Wonderland SF owner Irene Hernandez-Feiks, an Elizabeth Street Cosmetics & Honey Cooler Handmade Trunk Show and – also in Oakland – a Voce Keen Trunk Show at Hawthorn.
