LORRAINE SANDERS is a San Francisco-based writer, blogger, media consultant and the founder of SF Indie Fashion, a web site and resource covering the San Francisco Bay Area’s wealth of independently-run fashion labels, local designers and independent retailers. She covers fashion for 7×7’s Glamwatch, the San Francisco Chronicle and its SF Unzipped blog and has written about fashion, art and small businesses for Daily Candy, NBC Bay Area, KQED, San Francisco Bay Guardian, BUST, the Noe Valley Voice and many others. Additionally, she is a part-time fashion journalism instructor and student adviser at the Academy of Art University, as well as a freelance copy writer and media consultant skilled in developing online content and social media strategies. RENA RAMIREZ is a reputable public relations professional with both “start-up” and agency experience, and is known for her relationship marketing and razor-sharp intellect of what drives consumer trends.
Ms. Ramirez is a proud California native that graduated from esteemed University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a degree in Communication Studies. Soon after graduation she worked for some of the entertainment industry’s most recognized studio names such as Miramax Films and Paramount Pictures in both development and interactive marketing.
Prior to starting 6th Generation Media, Ms. Ramirez has worked for some of San Francisco’s leading Public Relations agencies, including Wagstaff Worldwide, a hospitality public relations firm with 10 years of experience in the industry, as well as lifestyle boutique Public Relations agency, Arieff Communications. Ms. Ramirez has gained solid expertise and a strong reputation in the areas relating to lifestyle, food, wine, fashion and consumer goods as she has managed a breadth of clients ranging from Hotel and Spa, award-winning Chefs, fashion designers and also event management with High-End Spirit producers.
Ms. Ramirez’s profound enthusiasm for PR is evident in her client work with her own 6th Generation Media where she currently represents local fashion designers, including Lorian Lindsay of Lorian Lindsay Design Studio and Jeanne Feldkamp of Apres Collective, as well as local and eco-friendly lifestyle brand, FluffyCo. On the hospitality side, Ms. Ramirez is proud to also represent the East Bay Vintner’s Alliance, the East Bay’s up and coming collective of 21 wineries in an “undiscovered urban wine country.” She thrives on the challenge of turning an undiscovered product, person or idea into a household name.
