Thar She Blows: Skunkfunk Sale

February 26th, 2010

skunkfunk-HAIGHT-SATSALE-blowout

One day only, and it’s sure to be a blowout at the Haight Street location of Skunkfunk. When? Tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., when everything in the store will be up to 75 percent off.

Oh yeah, mention the flyer above, and the fine folks at Skunkfunk will treat you to another 25 percent off already marked-down merch. Do the math, and you’ll note that the potential for almost-free wearbles is there (though you’d still have to fork over the danged Cali sales tax).

S X 3: Shop. Save. Secession.

January 29th, 2010

secession-outside1

While plenty of shops seem constantly in a the throws of one sale or another, it’s not everyday you hear about a sale at lower Bernal boutique and gallery Secession, and that makes a visit this weekend even more enticing.

All merch – art, clothing and jewelry – in the well-edited space curated by Eden Stein is 10 percent off (which may not seem like much at first, but then you have to consider that everything in the store is legitimate art) and collections from select designers and artists are 20 percent off. You’ll find the extra discounts on jewelry by Colleen Mauer, art by Heather Robinson and Nate1, clothing from De Novo, Kelly Lane and Nicacelly and furniture and fabrics by Swanky Swell. Also, onesies by New Skool are going for a mere $10. Hello, affordable baby gift.

There’s a happy hour shindig tonight from 6:30 to 9:30pm (they’re always a good time) and extended hours (12-8pm) throughout the weekend.

Time to Get Funked Up

January 28th, 2010

Skunkfunk_Jan-10_Haight_Sale

A not-so-secret sample sale goes down at the new Skunkfunk Haight Street flagship this weekend. Everything in this Spain- and San Francisco-based retailer is marked down between 50 and 90 (woah, 90?) percent to make way for spring merch, but that’s hardly all. We hear from co-manager Kaitlyn that deals on the label’s Euro-minded apparel will be accompanied by turntable action and adult beverages (our favorite kind).

Sunday is for Socializing

January 20th, 2010

Azalea_SundaySocialEmail1

Why limit your social meandering to Friday and Saturday nights when you can stretch it on into Sunday, too?

If that sounds like a plan, pop into Azalea on the afternoon of the 24th to score deals on both the men’s and women’s collections, as well as an additional 5 percent off when you RSVP in advance.
