News: SF Indie Fashion is Now Part of ModaVive

It’s been ages since there’s been a post on SF Indie Fashion, but we’ve got news that to share with everyone who has been a part of this community.

SF Indie Fashion is now part of ModaVive, a San Francisco company on a mission to make a real, positive impact through style that gives back. Along with traditional consignment, we offer volunteer fundraising groups 60% of the proceeds from the sale of new and secondhand designer, contemporary and high-quality vintage apparel and accessories collected to benefit a non-profit cause.

Why? Since putting the site on hiatus, I’ve been quietly looking for the right opportunity to push the spirit of SF Indie Fashion into the next phase, one that’s able to continue amplifying the idea of conscious consumerism and style with substance that were always at the heart of the site and the reason for its focus on independent designers and socially responsible design at a time when those ideas were still outside the mainstream.

Though it’s certainly a shift from SF Indie Fashion’s focus on independent designers, it shares a similar core: one that’s all about the idea of conscious consumption, less wasteful shopping and style as a force for something positive in the world.

As part of that, digital communications from SF Indie Fashion and its social media will soon arrive under the name ModaVive, though the site’s archives will remain online for the foreseeable future. We hope you’ll stick around to see what’s in store with what’s ahead.

Last but not least, in keeping with the original spirit of the site, I welcome independent and emerging designers, San Francisco businesses and other friends of SF Indie Fashion to reach out to me [Lorraine at ModaVive dot com] to discuss collaborations online or offline, including a presence as a trunk show partner at one of our upcoming warehouse sales in San Francisco.

And of course, would love to have you shop, consign or fundraise with ModaVive!

Thanks for reading and here’s to style that gives back,
Lorraine, SF Indie Fashion founder & editor
