If you’ve been waiting for the re-opening of Shotwell, which closed earlier this year and was slated to reopen in the Mission basically anytime now, shop owners Michael and Holly Weaver just announced today that that, alas, it’s not to be.
Instead, the couple will be relocating to Pittsburgh to be closer to family. Here’s the message that went out this morning:
“We are excited to announce that we are expecting a baby boy! We have decided to embark on this next adventure in the city of Pittsburgh to be closer to family.
Shotwell is closing its doors after many wonderful memories in San Francisco and with all of you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
No word yet on how that will affect the web site or whether online shopping will be available from the Weavers in the future. At the moment, the home is just a static one showing the store’s logo.
