Casual chic wearables-with-a-twist are what you’ll find in the Fall 2011 collection from Kathleen van der Spek, a San Francisco designer who impresses not only with her style, but with her unusual dwelling: a 46’ blue water sloop docked by the Bay.
For fall, van der Spek’s latest includes cozy separates befitting weekend brunches, strolls by the waterfront and wanderings through the city. Merino wool means many pieces are ready for sudden fog, while blouson shapes and playful contrast panels on a neutral color palette make these fall offerings easy to wear, but far from becoming boring basics.
