Cakes and cookies may be on your hey-a-holes-thanks-for-making-me-fat-during-the-holidays list this time of year, but that doesn’t mean you need avoid them completely. Instead of a cookie diet, we’re turning to La Patisserie Jolie, a locally-made line of soaps and body scrubs with dessert-inspired scents.
“I started to make dessert-themed soaps because I have a serious sweet tooth and wanted to make bath products inspired by some of my favorite desserts,” says Jessica Neaves, who also designs jewelry under the label Future Momo.
Her cruelty-free (not to mention resolution-friendly) creations include glycerin-based soaps in the shapes of bundt cakes, cookies and scones and made-to-order fresh body scrubs of brown sugar and essential oils.
Reasonably-prices ($6 for a 4 oz. scrub or $4.50 for six gingerbread men soaps) mean you can deck the guest bathroom with cute sudsers and dole out the hostess gifts without worrying your wallet.
Now if that’s not as sweet as a piece of cake, we’re not sure what is.
