We Came, We Saw, We Shopped: Bazaar Bizarre

The cupcakes were the shit, and that was just the beginning. For those of us looking to avoid the mall this holiday season, stopping by the Bazaar Bizarre at Fort Mason last weekend was a great choice.

Okay, maybe we were using the holidays as an excuse to shop, but there were some great one-of-a-kind finds not to be passed up. We got there early and, as you can see above, the crowds were in full force. Not only were there tons of handmade goodies made by mostly-California based small businesses, but there was a DIY craft station for the young ones and young at heart and a TechShop booth, teaching people to make their own stuff.

Although there were some bizarre finds, many vendors were selling jewelery, scarves and hats, vintage and baby clothes, and holiday-themed housewares.  Too bad we didn’t win the raffle, but it was a fun time, and we were tempted to head back for day two.
