The Do List: San Francisco Fashion Events This Week

The SF Indie Fashion Calendar is always full of events to keep San Francisco fashion lovers busy with trunk sales, beauty happenings, fashion shows and places to shop from independent sources. This week is no exception. Here’s our pick of top events this week:

  • For a lesson in healthy eating served with a side of style, start the week off on Tuesday a visit to The Firm, where Cook SF will be showing off culinary concoctions from its Real Detox plan and the boutique’s new fall arrivals will be 25 percent off for one evening only.
  • Also on Tuesday, if you’ve found yourself in crush with a cute salesperson at a Union Street boutique anytime lately, your chance to ask the object of your affection out on a date and support a great cause at the same time comes in the form of the Date Night Auction benefiting the Susan G. Komen Foundation’s breast cancer research initiatives. The men and women who work in Union Street businesses will be putting themselves on the auction block during this fundraiser event at the Brick Yard.
  • Once the weekend rolls around, opportunities to indulge in local independent fashion abound. Head to Hayes Valley for the Cary Lane 2-Year Anniversary Party, complete with free drinks, appetizers, tunes and 30 percent off all men’s and women’s apparel. On Saturday, shop the afternoon away at Indie Bazaar, a free event in the Metreon featuring 40+ designers, a photo booth, live art and music.  That night, the Evolution of Fashion will be getting into the Halloween spirit early with an evening of “costume couture” by local designers such as Miss Velvet Cream and Gail B. Shrive. Guests are invited to don costumes, and prizes will be awarded to the three most creative looks.

You can find details on all of these events and more happening this week on the SF Indie Fashion Calendar.
