Launching today, the project invites submissions summing up the essence of San Francisco in exactly 49 words. Feel free to gush about the City by the Bay’s various charms in your most heartfelt stream of consciousness narrative, dazzle with your skills at iambic pentameter or conjure up a haiku or two. What you write – and how you write it – is up to you.
Entries must be posted on the 49 Square Miles Facebook fan page and will be highlighted on 49words.com. Entries will be read by the entire staff of 49 Square Miles. Their favorite will win a Bigmouth Hobo (retail $650).
