A relaxed take on structure and the introduction of color are the key elements of the gr.dano Spring/Summer 2011 collection.
Comprised of four groups, the latest from San Francisco designers Brian Scheyer and Jill Giordano continues the label’s love affair with clean, uncluttered lines and playfully architectural shapes, but does it with a decidedly laid-back attitude that goes hand-in-hand with spring and summer adventures.
While in seasons’ past, gr.dano has stuck closely to mostly solid fabrics and a neutral palette of grays, black and white, the current offerings embrace pops of color, bold stripes and plaid.
The result is a collection of wardrobe staples with serious personality, the kind of go-with-plenty pieces you grab again and again without the boring factor that usually accompanies such versatility.
