The Do List: San Francisco Fashion Events this Week

While New York Fashion Week is underway on the other coast, you can still get your fashion fix right here in San Francisco. Check out these local fashion happenings and suggestions for stylish things to do in the Bay Area this week:

  • All week long, New People’s J-Pop Summit celebrates Japanese fashion, art and anime with Harajuku fashion presentations, costume contests, handmade crafts and limited edition apparel and accessories by popular Japanese brands. The festival’s biggest day is Saturday, but there are worthy reasons to venture to Japantown taking place throughout the week. Check out the full festival line-up here.
  • Get a head start on the weekend with Thursday’s Sassy City Chicks Fashion Bash at Fort Mason, where you’ll find designer brands and local designers such as Helena de Natalio, Frolick and Effie’s Heart selling apparel and accessories for up to 80 percent off retail.
