San Francisco Fashion Week

San Francisco Fashion and Merchant Alliance put together a great two day Fashion extravaganza. I had a pleasure to attend and support one of my friends Pamela with Fashionistette. I’d like to congratulate SFFAMA for choosing a fabulous venue. I have never heard of Vitamin Water Social Club and I have to say it’s a really fun place.

Right before the show with Fashionistette Pamela:

Dress Me Up + Make Me Bettina: Now in North Beach

Perfect with a Tank: Super Sugar Ray Ray Ruffle Skirt

Super Sugar Ray Ray designer Rachel Riggin recently started making cute, cotton ruffle skirts that pull on with easy, summer-appropriate ease.

When we asked her how to wear them best, and she had this to say:

“They are great with leggings and slouchy boots. I have a pair of the metallic silver American Apparel leggings that I love wearing with the metallic silver pinstripe skirt.  Or if i’m really planning on working it out on the dance floor, I’ll wear a striped skirt with bare legs and bright sneakers.”

Sure, you’ve got to be into ruffles and bold hues to pull off the skirt shown here, but Riggin offers more sedate versions in grey eco-friendly bamboo fabric.

What to wear on top?

Suggests Riggin:

“Definitely a long, fitted shirt looks great, even a long wife-beater style tank looks good. A long tube top would be cute, too.”

Ruffles skirts ($67) are available in the Super Sugar Ray Ray etsy shop.
