Beauty Company, the beauty supply boutique and salon, has ditched its on-the-corner location on Polk and Green for a fresh, open and much larger space. But the San Francisco beauty destination didn’t move far. Local fans had to walk less than half a block from the original outpost to get to the new location’s launch party at 2325 Polk Street.
At last week’s launch event, the salon was glowing with natural light that highlighted the light brown hardwood floors and contemporary, mostly white interiors. The store was crowded with men and women surveying the airy space, drinking bubbly, devouring the plentiful arrangement of fresh fruit and sushi and indulging in complimentary mini manis.
Separating the salon and nail spa are white modern shelves fully stocked with name brand lines such as Pureology hair products and Korress skin care. The nail salon is supplied with enough Essie and O.P.I colors to please any girl sitting in one of the plush black armchairs.
While most salons rely on doors and private rooms for services like tanning and waxing, Beauty Company now guards your privacy like a bank—with a vault.
“I love the vault, it’s a great feature, and we love it and every single person compliments us on it. It’s amazing,” gabbed owner Sherri Ziesche in between hugs from guests.
The vault isn’t the only reason to pay the store a visit. Says Ziesche:
“Our staff is knowledgeable and helpful…we have no problem giving samples and just helping you find the right fit, the right thing for you.”
