Resin roses meet chunky gold chain in the neckpieces and brooches of Sydney-based and Tokyo-influenced design duo Make Believe, whose work we hear is now exclusively available in the good ‘ole US of A at Russian Hill boutique Tedda Hughes.

At upwards of $250 a pop, these adornments aren’t cheap, but their intricate construction and 80’s rapper-meets-Harajuku Lolita ethos make us stop and stare – in a good way.

No shrinking violets here.

Another place you’ll find nary a shrinking violet? At Tedda Hughes on Friday, where a Black Friday sale and happy hour begins unraveling itself circa noon-o-clock.
