When our legs are ready to go undercover, they’d happily don a disguise in shiny check, stripey knit or fashion-inspired word play leggings. Each pair shown here is at SF Indie Fashion sponsor YesStyle.com during the end-of-season sale.

So Many Black Friday, Cyber Monday Shopping Deals

vagabond-bagWe almost (almost) took the day off, but so many Black Friday shopping deals and Cyber Monday offers kept popping up from local, indie-minded designers and boutique owners that we knew we had to post. We’re going to keep it brief (we’ll be back in full swing early next week), but we just couldn’t keep the deals to ourselves:

AliceandIsa.com is offering a slew of deals through Monday. We are smitten with so much on the site. Like bags by 49 Square Miles and jewelry by Ach Ach Liebling.

Nooworks is offering $15 t-shirts and 30 percent off everything else all weekend.

Tedda Hughes is having a big ‘ole happy hour and sale today in Russian Hill. We clucked about it earlier in the week.

Vagabond is offering 35 percent off all merch and free shipping (free delivery to your home for San Francisco residents) with the discount code Vagabond.

HomeRoom sent out the discount code 10Q. It’ll get you 30 percent off purchases made today and an extra t-shirt (specify your size in the comments section).

Tobi is offering 25 percent off all regularly priced items through Monday at midnight with the coupon code CHEERFUL25.

For more, perhaps the most comprehensive round up of San Francisco Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping deals can be found on the 7×7 Glamwatch blog (where SF Indie Fashion’s Lorraine is a regular contributor). We’d recommend checking out the Black Friday San Francisco Shopping Guide and the Cyber Monday Deals features for more discounts and promotions than you’ll know what to do with.

Happy Thanksgiving from SF Indie Fashion. San Francisco is top on our list of things we’re thankful for today. Thanks so much for reading and helping this little project grow over the last four years.

We hope you’re having a fabulous day, whether you’re on the road to grandmother’s house or already scooting your chair a little closer to the table.

We’re off to make pies. It’s chocolate pecan vs. pumpkin. Who will win? We’ll let ya know.

Petal to the Metal: Make Believe at Tedda Hughes

Resin roses meet chunky gold chain in the neckpieces and brooches of Sydney-based and Tokyo-influenced design duo Make Believe, whose work we hear is now exclusively available in the good ‘ole US of A at Russian Hill boutique Tedda Hughes.

At upwards of $250 a pop, these adornments aren’t cheap, but their intricate construction and 80′s rapper-meets-Harajuku Lolita ethos make us stop and stare – in a good way.

No shrinking violets here.

Another place you’ll find nary a shrinking violet? At Tedda Hughes on Friday, where a Black Friday sale and happy hour begins unraveling itself circa noon-o-clock.

Won’t you join?

The detes are below:

Shoe In: Accessories in Action Black Friday Benefit

accessories-in-action-event

How many pairs of unused shoes do you have kicking it in your closet? According to the fine folks behind this Friday’s Accessories in Action event at 111 Minna, Americans have some 1.5 billion unwanted pairs gathering dust in their homes.

A better place for them? With Soles4Souls, a non-profit organization that recycled secondhand shoes by giving them to people in need.

Bring a pair with you to this 21+ shopping fundraiser as you make the retail rounds on Black Friday, and you’ll get in the door for less ($5 instead of $8). Perhaps even more spectacular, we hear nothing at the event costs more than $100. On offer will be accessories from jewelry and bags to hats and belts, all by local independent designers.
