What is and what isn't "indie" is always a fair question - it's complicated - and sometimes we're not even sure. As for our support of this project, we're all for highlighting work by emerging designers with a connection to san francisco - we don't care where they go to school or whether they have formal training or whether they are entirely self-taught - our goal is to get the word out so consumers have more ways to find products that are unique, artistically-driven alternatives to the mainstream, mass-produced offerings in most stores....
