Looking Sharp

I’ve been interviewing a slew of local designers for a leetle story I’m putting together for Citysearch (stay tuned for that later this month). It’s given me the chance to talk to a number of designers for the first time – one was Alval of Homeroom Clothing. Along with sweet custom-tailored hoodies that have garnered the attention of hip-hop impresarios (Kanye has been known to sport ‘em), the locally-made label also offers custom, hand-polished jewelry featuring edgy objects like meat cleavers, barbershop clippers and the scissors pictured below. They may be more strut than cut, but they’re still seriously sharp.
