Tomorrow night, the Kearny Street Workshop presents its 2nd annual fashion show, APAture Runway II. The event, which costs a mere $10 in advance or at the door, showcases work from local emerging designers, including Distilled, Isabelle Le, Yola Ng, Feral Childe (pictured), April Cromer, Guri Singh, and Preston Doh’s Lucio Montana label. Proceeds from the show benefit KSW’s 10th annual APAture festival, a multidisciplinary arts expo highlighting work from Asian Pacific American artists living and working in the Bay Area. The festival itself takes place in September.
The evening kicks off with a runway show featuring the participating designers. Afterwards, a live auction will allow the audience to get in on the action.
For those of you who enjoy checking out fresh talent, but don’t enjoy the sky-high ticket prices associated with runway shows, this is a good way to enjoy the fun of a fashion show without breaking the bank. It’s also a great way to support the local arts community and the Bay Area Asian Pacific American community, in particular.
