On Saturday, I stopped by an open house held at Porcelynne’s new Oakland home. Designer Jennifer Lynne has really put together a lovely space for creating and showcasing her designs. In front, Lynne’s briefs, boyshorts and camisole tops hang in a small salon-like area. Behind a sheer curtain, her sewing machines, cutting table, fabrics and supplies occupy a large work studio.
I always love seeing where designers and artists create their work, and I was really impressed to learn that Lynne has put the whole space together in less than a month.
Lynne and Amy Cools, whose AC Clothing & Bags studio is one floor below, are planning to hold more open house events each month, so stay tuned for news about that.
