Saying Goodbye to Porcelynne

After two years, the Porcelynne boutique – which became the Porcelynne Designer Collective last year – is closing its doors. We are sad to see this Mission shop go, but are heartened by the knowledge that Porcelynne lingerie and wares from all the great designers who are part of this indie haven will keep marching on – just not from behind this particular storefront.

They’ll be open through Feb. 4th – the actual day of the store’s two-year anniversary. This weekend, Porcelynne’s Jennifer will be selling off her own stock of fabrics and trimmings to prepare for the move – with prices at 50 cents to $3/yard, this is a great way for local designers to snag some fabric while helping out a fellow indie artist. Many of the store’s designers (Colleen Mauer, Anicka Designs, Shveta Shourie, Lali, Daka Accessories, Culture Consumer, Oda) have marked their apparel and accessories down by 20 percent. A closing party is scheduled for Feb. 2nd.
