LittlePretty Is Big On Indie Designers

Some birdies from Stanford told me today about the recent launch of LittlePretty, an online store selling jewelry (like the Guava Necklace by Castaway, pictured here) from a growing roster of independent designers. The boutique is the brainchild of a Stanford business school student named Claire, who says:

The motto, “Everyone Deserves a LittlePretty,” comes out of my passionate belief that great design, whether on a wall or on a wrist, should be accessible to everyone…

To that end, I tried to make the site a no-brainer: free shipping on orders over $100, hassle-free returns, and an intuitive site design, thanks to my talented and telepathic web designer, Kate DiCesare, and the team at Edit.com.

For guys, we also have a gift ideas page with some sure-to-win suggestions, gift assistance support, and inexpensive, easy gift wrapping. The initial inventory includes 85 unique pieces from eight gifted designers, priced from $50-$250 retail.

One of the best things about the site is the designer section, where you’ll find bios on each. I love knowing about the people and the companies behind what I buy – so I was especially happy to see this here.
